Hi-Tor Animal Care Center, located on Fireman’s Memorial Drive in Pomona. They are currently experiencing an unusually high number of animals without homes. We have many dogs, cats, kittens and bunnies who are in need of new homes. We also welcome voluteers to walk, cuddle and help care for pets while waiting for homes. Donations of pet supplies, food, leashes, cages, etc. always welcome too!

Meet America's comic book heroes at the Holocaust Museum & Study Center as part of the special exhibit
“American Cartoonists, Nazi Germany and the Holocaust” on display from January 31 through March 26.
The exhibit features the birth of the American superheroes at the onset of World War II and their mission t
o fight the Nazis. The world needed superheroes as the Nazi persecution of Jews and opponents to the

3/13 Pull with Purpose Row-a-thon Saturday, March 13, 2010--11AM – 2PM
Pull with Purpose Row-a-thon-a fundraiser to benefit the Nyack Center. Put your team together now! Rowers will be asking for pledges and all proceeds of the event will benefit the Nyack Center and their community-oriented programs. Last year over $8,000 was raised – please help us do even better this year! Rowers will be placed on teams, which row continuously in relay fashion for two hours. Rowers will range in age from 13 year-old children to men and women in their 60’s and 70’s. Five member teams qualify to compete for the highest overall meters rowed. Event will be located at the Center of Nyack’s Memorial Park, located at the corner of Cedar and Main, Downtown Nyack. 47h Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade – second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the state, which attracts as many as 50,000 spectators from as far away as Ireland. The Ancient Order of Hibernians's selection of grand marshall to lead the parade. The morning will start with 9:00 am Mass, to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary at Dominican Convent, located at 175 Route 340, Sparkill, N.Y. Breakfast followed immediately afterwards in Casa MIA Manor House, located on Route 303 in Blauvelt, NY. The hunt for eggs will begin at 9:00 a.m. for ages 1 to 3; 9:15 a.m. for ages 4 to 6; and 9:30 a.m. for ages 7 to 11, at the Avon Park, Virginia Menschner Gazebo (bring a basket). Breakfast with the Bunny follows each hunt; bring your camera to take photos with the bunny.
