2) If you visiting Nyack, you'll want to stop into the Hopper House Art Center---the boyhood home of noted American artist Edward Hopper on North Broadway in Nyack to see a collection of his books, posters, postcards and his homestead. You'll also get to visit their gallery of contemporary regional artists and learn more about their programs and events.
3) Feeling creative? Check out the step-by-step Beginner one day Weekend Art Workshops (all supplies included, you just show up!) and Weekly Art Classes at the Arts Alive Studio in Nanuet, NY! Just 15 minutes from Nyack! (Head straight up Main Street to Route 59 to Middletown Road (Nanuet Mall area) in Nanuet. A straight drive!)
4) Nyack has some of the best restaurants in the Hudson Valley! If a delicious dinner and a theatre experience is what you are longing for then you Nyack is the place to be. Nyack abounds with wonderful restaurants and the hardest decision will be which one to choose! If some good classic American and Irish food is on your radar head over to OMalley's Irish Pub...you might catch some foot stompin and uplifting live Irish music there as well. 5) Want to get into shape? If you're lucky enough to be a Nyack resident or live nearby, you can always enjoy a personal fitness training session over at the Nyack Training Center on Franklin and Depew.
